BUIJSMAN FAMILY
We built this kitchen for a house in The Hague. The materials used in this kitchen make it timeless and therefore easy to style. A people's friend with a contemporary look. The white kitchen island contrasts beautifully with the wood-look kitchen cabinets, where the built-in ovens and coffee maker contrast nicely with the wood. A calm and harmonious whole that is perfectly complemented by natural light shining in through wooden shutters.
"The table top? We can get rid of that," are the literal words the Buijsman family said to us when we began this project. But why throw away a beautiful oak table when you can seamlessly incorporate it into your interior? So together with the Buijsman family we came up with a design to make the robust oak table become part of their kitchen again.
The elaboration has become a kitchen island that flows into the "dining area" without any gap. While cooking, the family can now cook and discuss the day with each other. All in the same space.
With the style of the kitchen: black and white and wood as a starting point, we were also allowed to realize a sideboard cabinet with all the conveniences, here are several power points transferred to the rear walls of the cabinets so that all loose devices such as ipads and the like can be stored away.
The TV cabinet in the home was built by Mrs. Buijsman's father and first stood on the other side of the room, so during the complete remodel we carefully disassembled and then moved this masterpiece. We loved that we were given the confidence to customize a piece of furniture like this, with a lot of personal value.
In addition to all the custom parts in the house, we also took on the work involving the new floor, electrics, plumbing, wallpapering and stucco and painting.
The Buijsman family was completely relieved of this and the planning was seamless. We work together with very talented specialists in their expertise, creating a true team to oversee the complete renovation..
A kitchen is supposed to be both functional and aesthetic. Visible electrical outlets in the kitchen can therefore detract from the overall experience of the kitchen. That's why we created a solution on either side of the kitchen island that allows you to hide electrical outlets when they are not in use. It's a nice-to-have that makes this kitchen unique.
