Our Jan from Rotterdam has been working as an interior designer/furniture maker since he was 25 years old. It is one of his many passions besides visiting museums, reading science fiction books, biographies and listening to music.
He does the latter both at concerts and with the help of a good sound system. "Music from a phone or laptop I really can't listen to," he says.
A true purist, then, with a diverse taste in music. Because jazz, disco, heavy metal and even opera music are styles he can really enjoy. With his diverse taste in music, he's bound to add to our Atelier 19 playlist a lot more!
Jan devours books. Per month, he easily reads two away. And with his museum year card, he can also be found in a museum at least once a month. So he eats art and culture for breakfast.
Also ask him about his sock collection. In fact, under his work clothes he wears the most colorful and diverse ones. For example, he has them with sushi, rubber ducks and tompoucs on them. Which is his favorite pair? He really can't choose between them. As long as it radiates cheerfulness!
