Who says you can’t use pink in a home? We had the pleasure of bringing a distinctive design to life for the Fontaine family: bold, yet perfectly fitting. You don’t see the combination of warm walnut and neon pink every day, and that’s exactly why we’re so proud that it feels so natural here.
The custom-made kitchen island is the undisputed centerpiece of the open-concept kitchen. The bright pink Abet countertop stands out with its rounded corners, while the warm walnut cabinet fronts lend the space a calm and homey feel. The island is cleverly positioned in the space, making optimal use of the area, and thanks to its unique shape, it’s even possible to sit comfortably together around it. This naturally turns cooking here into a social occasion.
Next to the island, we installed a tall, continuous wall of cabinets. The entire kitchen is equipped with luxury appliances from Siemens, Quooker, and Evoline, as well as a built-in fireplace. Even the oven is concealed behind a door, allowing the wall to form a single, calm, and sleek unit. The pink of the countertop runs as a subtle line through the cabinet wall, making the unit not only visually appealing but also highly practical. The brass and gold accents, such as the faucet and sink, add the perfect finishing touch.
In consultation with the clients, we found the perfect combination of materials and then extended that theme throughout the rest of the home. The custom-built pantry flows seamlessly into a lacquered wall unit in the living room, complete with a second built-in fireplace, a bright pink niche for the most beautiful bottles, and a gold sink. By repeating the materials and colors throughout, a sense of calm and familiarity is created in the entire home.
