The Marlisa family
The Marlisa family wanted a light interior without it feeling too 'cold'. That's why we suggested using a blend of different materials throughout their entire interior. Materials that mimic the look and feel of white natural stone, thereby avoiding a stark white finish. The result was a light sand-colored kitchen and TV cabinet with warm tones of dark wood.
The Marlisa family's kitchen wall is located in a spot where natural light streams in beautifully. This kitchen wall also serves as a coffee corner. We installed various LED strips in both the shelves and the cabinets of this kitchen wall. This gives the kitchen a unique and warm character, even in the evening.
Adjacent to the kitchen wall, we are building various cabinets and the 'sink area'. Between this sink area and the kitchen wall is the kitchen's biggest eye-catcher: the cooking island with rounded corners. This cooking island, equipped with a breakfast bar, LED strips, and flush-mounted appliances, has become the focal point of the kitchen. We also finished this cooking island with LED strips with soft lighting in the top of the drawers.
The rounded shapes of the kitchen countertop are echoed in the TV cabinet in the living room. To give the living room its own character, we proposed a three-dimensional wood structure. This structure not only adds warmth to the TV cabinet, but also depth. The built-in rail system also makes it possible to hide the television, creating an elegant wall that allows the built-in decorative fireplace to take center stage.
