The Boogaart family
To stylishly separate the kitchen from the living room, the Boogaart family asked us to design and develop a room divider. This room divider has a practical application on both sides. On the living room side, there is a TV cabinet with built-in speakers. On the kitchen side, there is an open bookcase and display cabinet. The room divider is open at the bottom, where there is a decorative fireplace, ensuring that both spaces remain connected.
If your home allows it, you can add more atmosphere with a room divider. This allows you to divide a large space into several smaller rooms. It is important that the divider does not look like a closed wall. That is why we created a passageway on the left and right sides of the Boogaart family's home, an open cabinet at the top, and a decorative fireplace at the bottom. The opening of the decorative fireplace allows you to see the other room, creating a unique piece of custom furniture.
The practical design of the room divider is clearly visible when viewed from the living room. In addition to the built-in television, we also incorporated speakers with rounded corners into the cabinet. This allows the room divider to double as a TV stand.
Because the Boogaart family had a room divider built between the living room and kitchen, it was also the ideal place to store wine. That's why we created an open wine rack with space for dozens of bottles.
