The Pors family
In addition to custom-made furniture, the right lighting also plays a major role in creating the right atmosphere. For the Pors family, we were able to design not only the furniture in the kitchen and living room, but also the entire interior. This has led to an industrial yet elegant end result.
When we think of industrial kitchens, we often think of stone and wood. In the kitchen we created for the Pors family, neither wood nor stone plays the biggest role, but metal. Not solid metal, but a special metal stucco. This is a coating with metal particles that makes every surface look like solid metal, including the largest wall in this kitchen.
The kitchen island with rounded corners, wooden cabinets, and a Dekton worktop are the perfect complement to the atmosphere created. And the hanging pipes with built-in lighting are a real eye-catcher.
In the dining room, adjacent to the kitchen, we created a drinks cabinet and coffee corner. The rounded shapes of the kitchen countertop are subtly reflected in the custom design of the cabinet. Thanks to the sliding doors, the Pors family can decide for themselves how it looks: open when the coffee corner or drinks cabinet is in use, closed for a calm and sleek look.
Behind the room divider is the living room, where we have built a TV cabinet. A different shade of wood veneer gives this space its own character. The large windows in the house allow natural light to enter, preventing the entire space from becoming too dark despite the wood.
The chosen style has also been consistently implemented in the toilet. The wall finish with metal stucco forms a defining basis for the space here. By opting for a finish with an industrial look, the toilet blends seamlessly with the rest of the interior.
