Molenaar family
In Capelle aan den IJssel you can find this chic, spacious, black kitchen. This kitchen is full of detail, surprises and unique materials. After a pleasant conversation, and with a number of images in our pocket, we were allowed to completely transform the existing kitchen. Because the conversation had given us a lot of guidance, we quickly figured out which material would best suit the desired look.
Sheet metal is used in the design of kitchens. To give a kitchen a specific style, the sheet material can be delivered with different textures. In kitchens, sheet material that mimics the grain from real wood planks is often used. But because the Molenaar family wanted something unique, we looked further. The result became a unique material with a chic leather structure. This texture appealed to the Molenaar family because it was the perfect nod to their other homes in various exotic countries. Therefore, it was an instant hit.
To bring out the elegance of the kitchen even at night, we have incorporated LED strips in all (soft-close) drawers on both sides. LED strips that with subtle yet strong light are turned on and off via an automatic switch as soon as the drawers open and close.
In addition to the type of material chosen to give the kitchen its atmosphere, sufficient attention has also been paid to the finish. In fact, the material of the worktop was used to dress the sides of the sink. In addition to this finish, for functionality, the kitchen has two built-in carousel cabinets with drawers that are all illuminated with LED lights. And the kitchen includes a large cabinet door with a push to open system that takes you directly to the "hidden" pantry. Of course, the built-in wine cooler at eye level is also not to be missed and all the professional appliances make the kitchen not only stylish but also very functional.
