Chirobalance
In Rotterdam, you can visit practice Chirobalance with various physical complaints. Chirobalance is a practice that finds it important to perform treatments in a homely atmosphere. They commissioned us to create a reception desk that matches their overall look and feel.
Chirobalance's practice features many plants and natural materials. Therefore, the reception desk also had to be made of organic materials. That is why we chose bamboo. On the one hand because of its sustainable character and on the other hand to perfectly match the overall look.
We made the counter from two types of materials. The outer shell is made of bamboo and 'bronze metal' was used for the inner shell. We cut the bamboo at oblique angles, which also shows off the 'bronze metal' well. Between the two we placed LED lighting to give an extra sense of depth and warmth.
In addition to the materials used and the appearance, it is important not to forget the practical features of a reception desk. The height of the desk is therefore carefully chosen to ensure maximum privacy and efficiency.
Behind the welcome desk you will find two monitors on a custom-made desk which is height adjustable to work sitting and standing. To stay in the same style, we were also allowed to make a custom dresser out of bamboo. So this practice can continue in style for years to come.
