Recently we were approached by family Hart from Nieuwerkerk aan de IJssel. They told us they were a bit bored with their house, but they absolutely did not want to move. Then a complete interior makeover was the solution for them! 

Off to our studio in Rotterdam Hillegersberg, where we sat down together around the drawing table to discuss the wishes. One thing quickly became clear: they wanted an industrial interior, with a Scandinavian twist. 

You can leave that to us just fine. After working out the ideas, we first made drawings. Then we coordinated the materials with the family so that we could then get to work.

New floor with convector well

To create unity in the home, we chose a PVC floor that matched well with the concrete look in the kitchen. Before we could lay the PVC, the floor was completely leveled. Then we started laying the floor and extended it into the living room. 

Originally, the family wanted to have underfloor heating installed, but unfortunately this proved impossible in combination with the height of their current window frames.

We like to think with the customer and as a solution we have their old convector well a facelift. The radiator has been incorporated into the floor in this way. The convector well is finished in the same pattern as the PVC and is fitted with stainless steel mesh. Handy, because this way no mess can fall between!
