In a beautiful apartment in Rotterdam we were allowed to work on a special and outspoken design. The residents came up with a surprising proposal in which OSB (Oriented Strand Board) played the leading role - a material that you don't often see in interior design, but which adds so much character for that very reason.
Although OSB is not usually used for custom cabinetry, we saw just the charm and possibilities of this robust, vibrant material. The client feared that no one would dare take on this project, but we were immediately enthusiastic and worked with them to refine and technically translate the design into a durable and functional result.
The cabinet wall forms a flowing connection between living room and hallway, providing both sides with functional storage space. A smart, aesthetic solution that visually enlarges the interior and practically enhances it.
In the same home, we also took care of the bathroom. Here we opted for tranquility and sophistication by using clean lines and high-quality materials.
The centerpiece is the custom-made washbasin with a seamless continuous Solid Surface top, into which the sink is elegantly integrated. A subtle detail that creates a serene, luxurious look.
Above the toilet, we incorporated a shallow niche storage cabinet - perfect for storing toiletries without cluttering the space. And because a washer and dryer rarely contribute to a stylish bathroom look, we tucked them away in a custom-made laundry closet. This keeps the space calm, uncluttered and still fully functional.
