The team at Atelier 19 took on the task of updating our kitchen, which was overdue for a makeover after 25 years. We’ve known François for about 20 years—he did an excellent job extending our kitchen back then, so we didn’t hesitate to contact him again.
Atelier 19 created a completely new closet for us, cleverly designed with staggered depths to hide a wall offset—something we should have done much sooner! Almost everything had to be custom-made, and this was absolutely the right place for it. Sure, it’s a bit more expensive, but that’s to be expected. After all, a Michelin-starred restaurant costs more than a fast-food chain, and a tailored suit is pricier than one off the rack. But with a kitchen, it’s even more important—unlike a suit, you use your kitchen every single day!
Solid materials, creative solutions... and our own ideas were incorporated or adjusted when years of experience outweighed our wilder notions. Atelier 19 also came up with practical suggestions we’d never have thought of ourselves!
